Senior bureaucrat Rajendra Ratnoo, a 2001-batch IAS officer, has taken voluntary retirement from service, citing personal reasons.
After completing his Central deputation, Ratnoo returned to Chennai in June this year and was appointed as Member-Secretary of the Chennai Rivers Restoration Trust and Managing Director of the Chennai River Transformation Company Limited.
According to media reports he was officially relieved of his duties on August 20. While applying for VRS, he mentioned personal reasons, including his mother’s health. Considering the circumstances, the Tamil Nadu government relaxed the mandatory three-month notice period required for civil servants.
