SJVN’s 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station (RHPS) has reached its annual energy generation target of 1,878.08 million units for FY 2024-25, more than three months ahead of schedule. This achievement marks the station’s second-fastest performance, surpassed only by its record set on December 15, 2019, during FY 2019-20.
This milestone highlights the station’s operational efficiency, robust maintenance practices, and commitment to technical excellence. Operating in synergy with the 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station, Rampur HPS has become a model for hydropower collaboration in India.
Marking ten years of commercial operations, the Rampur station has played a pivotal role in promoting clean energy and regional development. It has generated over 20,000 million units of power over the past decade, meeting its annual targets in eight of ten years. Key accomplishments include its highest annual output of 2,098 million units in FY 2019-20, a record quarterly generation of 955.6 million units, and a single-day production high of 11.02 million units this fiscal year.
With a Plant Availability Factor (PAF) of 106.41 percent, the station has contributed Rs 8,000 crore in revenue. Additionally, SJVN has invested Rs 37 crore in community development through its CSR initiatives, benefiting local communities and project-affected areas.
SJVN attributed this success to the dedication of Team RHPS and extended its gratitude to stakeholders, including the Ministry of Power and the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The company remains focused on driving sustainable energy solutions for India’s future.
