New Delhi: In a major step towards strengthening Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation) in national celebrations, the Government of India has invited approximately 10,000 special guests from diverse walks of life to witness the 77th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, on January 26, 2026.
The information was shared by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Delhi, on January 19, 2026, at 2:30 PM. These special invitees represent individuals and groups who have made exemplary contributions to nation-building, innovation, social empowerment, science, sports, agriculture, and governance.
Objective: Honouring Nation Builders and Enhancing Jan Bhagidari
The invitation of such a large and diverse group of citizens aims to –
- Recognise grassroots achievers and change-makers
- Honour contributions to income generation, employment, innovation, and social upliftment
- Encourage wider public participation in national events of importance
The special guests will be prominently seated at Kartavya Path, symbolising the nation’s appreciation of their efforts and achievements.
