RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has been honored with the prestigious “Gold Award” in the State Energy Conservation Award 2024 competition. Organized by the State Energy Conservation Mission of Andhra Pradesh, the award recognizes RINL’s remarkable initiatives in energy conservation under the Iron & Steel category.
The accolade was received by Mr. Uttam Brahma, GM (Energy, Environment & Utilities), and Mr. VVVS Pulla Reddy, DGM (Energy Management Department), from Mr. K. Vijayanand, IAS, Special Chief Secretary (Energy), Government of Andhra Pradesh, during the Energy Conservation Week valedictory celebrations held in Vijayawada.
RINL earned this distinction for implementing impactful energy conservation measures over the last three years, including innovative utilization of waste energy.
Congratulating the team, Mr. A.K. Saxena, CMD (additional charge) of RINL, lauded the efforts of the Energy Management and supporting departments of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant for achieving this significant recognition and bringing laurels to the organization once again.
