RITES Signs MoU with Etihad Rail to Expand Infrastructure Collaboration in UAE and Beyond

Abu Dhabi/New Delhi: In a strategic move to expand its international footprint in the mobility and transport infrastructure sector, RITES Limited, a leading Indian engineering and consultancy firm, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Etihad Rail and its subsidiary National Infrastructure Construction Company (NICC) LLC.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition & Conference held in Abu Dhabi, underscoring the growing Indo-UAE collaboration in infrastructure development.

Collaboration Aimed at Enhancing Mobility Solutions

The agreement aims to strengthen business collaboration between RITES and Etihad Rail across UAE and other international geographies. By bringing together RITES’ five decades of expertise in transport consultancy, engineering solutions, and project execution with NICC’s on-ground infrastructure construction capabilities, the partnership seeks to drive large-scale mobility and infrastructure projects in the region.

“This MoU marks a significant milestone in our ‘RITES Videsh’ initiative and reinforces our core philosophy: ‘We Shape What Shapes Lives’,” said Rahul Mithal, Chairman and Managing Director of RITES Limited.

The collaboration is expected to leverage both entities’ strengths to pursue opportunities in rail-based transport systems, urban mobility, freight corridors, and other infrastructure verticals across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

This MoU further bolsters the strong strategic partnership between India and the UAE, especially in the context of logistics connectivity, multimodal transport, and sustainable infrastructure.
