New Delhi: Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd and Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) have officially announced the formation of a joint venture aimed at strengthening India’s rail manufacturing capabilities. The collaboration seeks to leverage the complementary strengths of both companies to deliver advanced, cost-effective, and globally competitive rail solutions.
Focus Areas of the Joint Venture
According to a joint statement from the two companies, the venture will concentrate on multiple strategic areas:
- Advanced Rolling Stock Segments: Developing modern rail vehicles and components for domestic and international markets.
- Life Cycle Maintenance and Asset Management Solutions: Offering comprehensive maintenance, repair, and asset management services.
- Large-Scale EPC and Turnkey Projects: Executing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects in India and overseas.
The partnership is designed to integrate engineering innovation with cost efficiency and global-quality standards, aiming to enhance both domestic capabilities and export potential.
Global Expansion and Export Opportunities
The joint venture will actively pursue international projects across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, targeting integrated rail manufacturing and infrastructure contracts. Sudipta Mukherjee, Managing Director of Texmaco Rail & Engineering, said, “The collaboration will accelerate innovation, strengthen export competitiveness, and reinforce India’s position on the global rail map.”
