In a notable development within the civil services fraternity, the Central IAS Association has elected its new executive team. S Krishnan (IAS: 1989: TN), currently serving as Union Secretary for Electronics & IT, has been elected as the new President of the association.
Joining him in leadership roles are Taranikanti Sriram (IAS: 1992: TR), Director of LBSNAA, and A. Anbarasu (IAS: 1996: UT), Principal Secretary (Home), Delhi Government, who have been chosen as Vice Presidents.
Further strengthening the team, Kunal (IAS: 2005: UT), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, has been appointed Secretary, while Aditi Singh (IAS: 2009: UP), Joint Secretary in the Department of Rural Development, has taken over as Treasurer.
Though an official announcement is still awaited, sources indicate that the election process has been concluded and a new executive committee is in place.
The Central IAS Association serves as a vital forum for addressing the concerns and aspirations of IAS officers across cadres. With a seasoned team now at the helm, the association is expected to focus on key issues such as cadre welfare, professional development, and policy engagement.
Krishnan, known for his administrative acumen and domain expertise, is likely to bring renewed direction to the association. His leadership, supported by the diverse perspectives of Sriram and Anbarasu, is expected to energise discussions on bureaucratic reforms and service conditions.
