Kandla, Gujarat: The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has successfully concluded its 8th Green Ammonia Auction under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme, Mode-2A. The auction discovered a competitive tariff of ₹54.73 per kilogram for the supply of 1,00,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) to the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) at its Kandla facility.

M/s Acme Cleantech Solutions Private Limited secured the winning bid, reaffirming its position as a leader in the renewable energy sector. The allocation will support IFFCO in adopting clean ammonia for fertilizer production, reducing dependence on imported fossil-based inputs. The development is a significant milestone in aligning India’s agriculture sector with sustainable energy solutions.
Boosting Green Hydrogen and Ammonia Ecosystem
The successful tariff discovery demonstrates the growing competitiveness of green ammonia in India. By enabling large-scale adoption, SECI is paving the way for cost reductions and improved supply chain efficiency.
