The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has announced its intention to initiate a selection process for a project developer through a Notice Inviting Tender (NIT). The proposed initiative involves the Request for Selection (RfS) of a solar power developer to establish a 500 kW Ground-Mounted Solar PV Pilot Project under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) mode, utilizing a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding process.

According to SECI, the project will be located in Pang, Leh, and the tender will soon be issued. The selection of the developer will be based on competitive tariffs quoted, aligning with SECI’s ongoing efforts to promote cost-effective renewable energy deployment in challenging terrains.
SECI has advised prospective bidders to stay updated with notifications, amendments, and clarifications related to the RfS documents by regularly visiting www.seci.co.in and https://www.bharat-electronictender.com, as no separate communication will be provided.
This pilot project is expected to enhance clean energy adoption in high-altitude regions and demonstrate the viability of solar solutions in remote and off-grid locations.
