New Delhi: The 163rd Audit Committee meeting of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) was held on September 2, 2025, in New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Shyam Agarwal, Chairman of the Audit Committee and Part-time Non-Official Director, SECL.
Participation of Key Members
The session was attended by several senior officials and directors. Among them were B. P. Pati, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal & Part-time Official Director, SECL (via VC); Gajanan Devrao Asole, Part-time Non-Official Director (via VC); N. Franklin Jayakumar, Director (Technical–Operations); Biranchi Das, Director (HR) (via VC); D. Sunil Kumar, Director (Finance) (via VC); Ramesh Chandra Mohapatra, Director (Technical–Project & Planning); Anand Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), IRCON International Ltd & Director, CERL & CEWRL; Smt. Ragini Advani, Director (Finance), IRCON International Ltd & Director, CERL & CEWRL; B. Shivakumar, CEO, CERL & CEWRL; C. D. N. Singh, General Manager (Finance), SECL; and Anand Bakshi, Deputy General Manager (Internal Audit), SECL.
At the outset, the members extended a warm welcome to Ramesh Chandra Mohapatra, who attended his first Audit Committee meeting after assuming office at SECL.
Focus on Rail Corridor Projects
The committee reviewed the progress of SECL’s ongoing rail corridor projects, being executed through its subsidiaries Chhattisgarh East Railway Limited (CERL) and Chhattisgarh East West Railway Limited (CEWRL). These projects are crucial for strengthening coal transportation infrastructure and enhancing logistical efficiency in Chhattisgarh and adjoining regions.
