Several IAS Officers Transferred In Uttarakhand, Shailesh Bagauly Made Home Secy

Amidst a recent development, as many as 15 IAS officers were transferred across Uttarakhand. Mr. Anand Bardhan (1992 batch), the incumbent Additional Chief Secretary, was removed from Housing. Mr. R K Sudhanshu (1997 batch), the incumbent Principal Secretary, was removed from Urban Development, and Secretary Dr. Ranjit Sinha (2005 batch) was removed from the Department of Disaster Management.

Mr. Shailesh Bagauli (2002 batch) was made the new Home Secretary. Officer Bagauli will also look after the jail after being relieved of his charge as Secretary to the Department of Information Technology and Science Technology. Mr. Dilip Jawalkar (2003 batch), last posted as Home Secretary, was given the charge of cooperatives.

The Personnel Vigilance Department has kept the departments of Secretary Mr. R Meenakshi Sundaram intact and he was given the charge of Housing, Commissioner Housing, Chief Administrator Uttarakhand Housing and Urban Development Authority, Chief Executive Officer Haridwar, Rishikesh Ganga Corridor Project. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Anand Bardhan was relieved from the Uttarakhand Housing and Urban Development Authority (AUDA).

Secretary Mr. Nitesh Jha, was given the charge of Urban Development, Information Technology and Science Technology. Secretary Mr. BVRC Purushottam was given the charge of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Dairy Development and Director Fisheries while Mr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha was removed from Disaster Management and Rehabilitation, State Disaster Management Authority, Project Director External Aided Projects. They were given the charge of technical education.

Mr. Hari Chandra Semwal was given the responsibility of Women’s Empowerment and Child Development and as Commissioner of the Food Department, freeing him from Panchayati Raj. Mr. Chandresh Yadav was given the responsibility of Panchayati Raj.

Mr. Brijesh Kumar Sant was removed from the Department of Social Welfare, Commissioner of Social Welfare, Chairman Multi-purpose, Finance Development Corporation and these charges have been given to Dr. Neeraj Khairwal. Officer Sant was given the charge of Secretary and Commissioner of Transport.

Dr. Surendra Narayan Pandey was given the charge of Housing, Commissioner Housing, Additional Chief Administrator of Housing and Urban Development Authority, Chief Executive Officer of Haridwar-Rishikesh Ganga Corridor Project, Finance and Director Audit and the charge of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Officer Vinod Kumar Suman was made Secretary of Disaster Management and Rehabilitation, Secretary of SDMA, and Project Director of External Assistance by relieving him from his charge as Secretary in the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Dairy Development and Cooperation Department.
