State-owned Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) posted a 43.78% drop in net profit for the third quarter ended December 2024, with earnings falling to Rs 75.52 crore from Rs 134.35 crore in the same period last year.

The company’s total income from operations declined marginally to Rs 1,350.13 crore, compared to Rs 1,363.02 crore in Q3 FY24, while total expenses rose to Rs 1,277.31 crore from Rs 1,214.56 crore a year ago.
Operating under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, SCI remains India’s largest shipping company, playing a key role in the country’s maritime and logistics sector.
