The contention between IPS Vikas Vaibhav and DG Shobha Ohatkar is not coming to any end. Popularly known for his work in NIA, Rohtash and his ‘Let’s Inspire Bihar’ Campaign was issued a show caused notice by the home department. The department asked him to respond within 24 hours to why they should not recommend the state government to take disciplinary action against him for his conduct.
Mr. Vaibhav has replied on the notice in 1495 pages to be precise. In 47 pages he mentioned about his duty and also about how he is conducting his ‘Let’s Inspire Bihar’ campaign. Rest of pages are documents and other details. A 2003 batch officer Mr. Vaibhav is currently serving as Inspector General (IG) of Home Guards and Fire Services.
Earlier in the February he claimed in twitter post that Shobha Ohatkar was using abusive language against him of which he has a recording. Although he had deleted the tweet but it went viral. After which the whole matter went on another level.
In the show cause notice Vikas Vaibhav has been charged for trying to tarnish the image of Shobha Ohatkar by making baseless allegations on social media. The notice also states that the conduct of Mr. Vaibhav violated the provision of the All India Service Conduct Rules 1968.
The IG has been asked to respond to the show cause notice within 24 hours to why the department should not recommend the state government to take disciplinary action against him for his conduct.
