In a recent development, 2006 batch IRS-IT officer Tshering Ongda, currently on deputation to the Government of Sikkim, has been granted an extension of his tenure.
Ongda, who is serving as the Managing Director of the Sikkim Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes Development Corporation (SABCCO), will continue in his position for an additional two years, effective beyond July 1, 2024.
This extension reflects the trust and confidence the Government of Sikkim has in Ongda’s leadership and contribution to the growth and development of marginalized communities in the state. As Managing Director of SABCCO, he has been instrumental in implementing various welfare schemes aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes in Sikkim.
The extension ensures continuity in the key projects led by Ongda and reaffirms his crucial role in advancing the Government’s mission to empower and uplift these communities.
