Six IAS Officer Trainees from the 2022 batch have recently been appointed as Assistant Secretaries in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. After completing their district training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, these officers are now prepared to serve in various Central Ministries and Departments.
The Officers Trainees are Sachin Sharma of Himachal Pradesh cadre, Gaurav Kumar and Parth Gupta of Bihar, Rahul Anand of Uttarakhand cadre, Sushant Padha of AGMUT cadre and Vishal Khatri of Maharashtra cadre. From May 20, 2024, to July 12, 2024, these Officer Trainees will actively engage in the day-to-day operations of their assigned duties. This eight-week period is a crucial phase in their careers, providing firsthand experience in governance and policy implementation at the highest levels of the Indian bureaucracy.
Sachin Sharma holds a B.E. degree and recently served as Assistant Commissioner to DC, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
Gaurav Kumar holds an M.A. in Geography and recently served as Assistant Collector, Aurangabad, Bihar.
Parth Gupta holds a B. Tech. degree and recently served as Assistant Collector, Madhubani, Bihar.
Rahul Anand holds a B. Tech. degree and recently concluded his District training in Uttarakhand.
Sushant Padha holds a B.A. degree and recently served as Attached with Deputy Commissioner, Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD), South Delhi.
Vishal Khatri holds a B.Tech and PG Diploma, and recently served as Supernumerary Assistant Collector, Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.
