State-owned SJVN has signed a power purchase agreement with Datta Power Infra to develop a 70 MW wind energy project as part of its WIND-1 initiative. The initiative aims to establish 600 MW of ISTS-connected (Inter-State Transmission System) wind power projects across India.
In a statement, SJVN highlighted its commitment to expanding renewable energy capacity in the country. The collaboration with Datta Power Infra marks a key step in accelerating clean energy adoption and enhancing grid integration for wind power.
Datta Power Infra, which specializes in renewable energy infrastructure, will undertake the project’s development, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC). The company has a presence in multiple states, including Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan.
SJVN’s WIND-1 initiative aligns with India’s broader renewable energy goals, contributing to the nation’s push for sustainable and clean power generation.
