SJVN Limited recently celebrated a significant financial milestone with the payment of an interim dividend of Rs 121.33 crore to the Government of Himachal Pradesh for the fiscal year 2024–25. The ceremonial handover took place in Shimla, where Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma presented the dividend cheque to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, alongside the presence of Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Anirudh Singh.
The dividend payout underscores SJVN’s robust financial performance and sustained profitability. In FY 2024–25, the company declared an interim dividend totalling Rs 451.93 crore. Of this amount, Rs 248.55 crore was disbursed to the Government of India, while Rs 82.05 crore went to public shareholders. The Government of Himachal Pradesh, holding a significant 26.85 percent stake in SJVN, received Rs 121.33 crore.
SJVN remains a pivotal player in India’s energy sector, currently overseeing 95 power projects across the country and in Nepal. These projects encompass hydro, solar, wind, thermal, and pumped storage initiatives, contributing to an impressive installed generation capacity of 2,708.27 MW. Looking ahead, SJVN has ambitious plans to expand its capacity to 25,000 MW by 2030 and further to 50,000 MW by 2040, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy and national energy security.
