New Delhi: SJVN Limited successfully organized the Special Vendor Development Meet 2026 for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in New Delhi today. The event was graced by Chairman & Managing Director Bhupender Gupta as the Chief Guest.
The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by senior officials including Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance) Sipan Kumar Garg, and Executive Director (HR) Chandra Shekhar Yadav, along with representatives from Corporate Headquarters Shimla and Liaison Office Delhi.
Focus on MSME Growth and Inclusive Procurement
In his inaugural address, Bhupender Gupta emphasized that the Special Vendor Development Meet 2026 would serve as a catalyst for new partnerships, fresh business opportunities, and stronger collaborations with MSMEs.
He highlighted that since 2018, SJVN has organized 36 Vendor Development Meets, reaffirming its commitment to vendor empowerment. Stressing inclusive growth, he underscored the need to integrate SC/ST and women-owned MSMEs into the mainstream economic ecosystem and enhance their participation in SJVN’s procurement processes.

Supporting AatmaNirbhar Bharat and Vikshit Bharat 2047
Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma noted that SJVN has been proactively engaging with MSMEs to achieve procurement targets and extend benefits of public procurement to Micro and Small Enterprises, including SC/ST and women-led businesses. He stated that such initiatives strengthen a self-reliant and future-ready MSME network aligned with the vision of AatmaNirbhar Bharat.
Director (Finance) Sipan Kumar Garg highlighted that MSMEs are the backbone of the Indian economy and play a crucial role in achieving the vision of Vikshit Bharat 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized SJVN’s commitment to knowledge sharing, best practices exchange, and collaborative engagement with MSMEs.

The event featured detailed presentations from SJVN and several key institutions, including:

The sessions aimed to familiarize vendors with SJVN’s e-procurement processes, online registration procedures, and various support schemes available to MSMEs. The presentations were followed by interactive Q&A and discussion sessions to address vendor queries and enhance awareness about digital procurement systems.
Strengthening Vendor Ecosystem
Delivering the vote of thanks, Executive Director (HR) Chandra Shekhar Yadav expressed appreciation to participating vendors and officials. He reiterated that such vendor meets have significantly streamlined procurement processes while empowering MSMEs and strengthening their engagement with SJVN.
The Special Vendor Development Meet 2026 reflects SJVN’s broader strategy of building an inclusive, transparent, and digitally enabled vendor ecosystem.
