New Delhi: The Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women and Child Development (SPNIWCD), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, launched its official website on August 29, 2025. Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi formally unveiled the portal, marking a major step toward digital governance and inclusive empowerment.
Digital Governance for Inclusive Growth
Minister Annpurna Devi said the launch reflects the Ministry’s commitment to using technology for empowering women and children. She noted that under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, digitalisation is central to building a Viksit Bharat@2047. The website, she added, will act as a vital platform for disseminating knowledge, research, and resources while strengthening citizen-centric governance.
Key Features of the Digital Platform
The SPNIWCD website offers e-learning modules that allow users to upgrade skills at their own pace. It includes an e-archive and digital library for secure storage and easy access to research and documents. A real-time dashboard provides live updates on training programmes, schemes, and institutional activities.
The portal also features online registration and appointments for services such as the Child Guidance Centre, Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counselling, National Communal Harmony initiatives, and the NCF. An interactive feedback mechanism ensures user inputs are integrated for continuous improvement.
Comprehensive Repository on Women and Child Development
The website hosts extensive resources on key government initiatives, including Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya, Mission Saksham Anganwadi, and Poshan 2.0. Dedicated sections cover women empowerment, child protection, safety, nutrition, and statistical data, ensuring wider accessibility of critical information.
Advancing Digital India and Viksit Bharat@2047
The initiative reinforces the government’s resolve to make services and information on women and child development accessible to all. By enabling digital learning and streamlined services, the SPNIWCD platform strengthens the vision of an inclusive, empowered, and digitally enabled Viksit Bharat.
