In a series of appointment, the central government ordered several changes spamming all the ministries. The recent orders were approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
According to it, Mr. Tarun Bajaj will be the the new revenue secretary. He was posted in Economic affairs as the Secretary. Bajaj has been handling the additional charge of the revenue department after the retirement of Ajay Bhushan Pandey in February.
On the other hand, Bangalore Metro Rail Corp. Ltd managing director Ajay Seth has been shifted as economic affairs secretary. Since the Union finance ministry is focusing on a large capex push to revive the economy from its record contraction in FY21, experience of Mr. Seth (1987 batch, Karnataka) seems to be useful.
Apart from both of them Special secretary and financial adviser in the information and broadcasting ministry Ali Raza Rizvi has been appointed secretary in the Department of Public Enterprises. While, Sailesh was appointed as member, Public Enterprises Selection Board.
Jatindra Nath Swain, currently managing director of Solar Energy Corp. of India Ltd, has been named secretary in the department of fisheries.
Home ministry additional secretary Gyanesh Kumar has been made secretary in the ministry of parliamentary affairs. Indevar Pandey, will now become secretary in the department of administrative reforms and public grievances and department of pensions and pensioners welfare. posted as the special secretary in the ministry of development of the northeastern region.
Special secretary in corporate affairs ministry Anjali Bhawra will now serve as secretary in the department of empowerment of persons with disabilities and Anil Kumar Jha will take charge as secretary in the ministry of tribal affairs.
