The Telangana government has announced the promotion of nine IPS officers from three different batches. Following the circular, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) (home guards), Mr. Stephen Raveendra (1999 batch IPS), was appointed the Additional Director General of Police in addition to his incumbent post.
DIG (Intelligence) Mr. Kartikeya; the Managing Director of tourism corporation, Mr. K Ramesh Naidu; the joint commissioner of police (crimes), Mr. R Ranganath; the joint commissioner of police (CAR) Mr. Satyanarayana; the special intelligence bureau Ms. Sumathi; the commissioner of police of Ramagundem, Mr. Srinivasulu — all 2006 batch IPS officers serving in DIG rank got promoted to the rank of Inspector general. Simultaneously, two 2010 batch IPS officers, Mr. Prakash Reddy and Mr. Joel Davis were promoted to the DIG rank.
