In a significant administrative move, the Telangana government has announced a major reshuffle of IAS officers, including District Collectors. Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari, a 1989 batch IAS officer, issued orders on Saturday transferring 20 officers to new postings across the state.
Among the notable transfers, 2017 batch IAS officer and Pedapalli Collector, Mr Muzammil Khan has been appointed as the new Collector of Khammam. While 2016 batch IAS officer and Mancherial Collector, Mr Badavath Santhosh moves to Nagarkurnool as Collector.
Nirmal Collector Ashish Sangwan, a 2016 batch IAS officer, will now serve as Collector of Kamareddy, and Vikarabad Additional Collector Rahul Sharma, an IAS officer of 2017 batch, assumes the role of Collector of Jayashankar-Bhupalpalli.
Further changes include Sandeep Kumar Jha, Joint Managing Director of Transco, being appointed as the new Collector of Rajanna Sircilla. B. Vijiendra, previously Special Secretary to the Roads and Buildings Department, takes charge as Collector of Mahabubnagar. Prateek Jain, who served as PO, ITDA Bhadrachalam, will now be the Collector of Vikarabad.
This reshuffle marks the second major administrative overhaul under the Congress-led government of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, following a previous transfer of 26 IAS officers earlier this year in January.
