The government of Telangana has lately initiated the process for the promotion of 1994 batch IPS officers to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP). It has been learnt that a file prepared by the General Administration Department (GAD) has been sent to CM Revanth Reddy for his assent.
The concerned 1994 batch IPS officers from the state cadre, eligible for promotion into the DGP rank are:
- Mr. B Shivadhar Reddy, Chief of Intelligence Bureau;
- Mr. K Sreenivasa Reddy, the Hyderabad police commissioner;
- Mr. Apte Vinayak Prabhakar, who is currently on deputation with the Intelligence Bureau;
- Ms. Abhilasha Bisht, presently Additional Director General of Police (TS Police Academy);
- Ms. Shikha Goel, the incumbent Director of TG-Cyber Security Bureau & CID chief.
