Three 1991 Batch IPS Gets Promotion, Piyush Anand Made SDG of CISF

On February 22nd, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) gave a nod to the Ministry of Home Affairs’ proposition for promoting three IPS officers. These three IPS officers (all from the 1991 batch), Mr. Vivek Gogia, Mr. RA Chandra Sekhar, and Mr. Piyush Anand, have been given greater responsibilities.

Following a circular issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), 1991-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, Mr. Vivek Gogia, was promoted to the post of Director of National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) on an in-situ basis till July 31st, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Another 1991-batch Kerala cadre IPS officer, Mr. RA Chandra Sekhar, has been made the Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) on an in situ basis up to a tenure of two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

1991 batch UP cadre IPS officer, Mr. Piyush Anand, stands promoted to the post of Special Director General of CISF (in-situ basis) for a tenure of two years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
