Mr. Arman Farooq, a 2008-batch officer of the Jammu & Kashmir Police Service, has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a tenure of four years.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (March 17, 2025), the competent authority has approved Mr. Farooq’s induction into the CBI. His appointment will be effective from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
