Two IPS officer has been selected for central deputation. Former Punjab DGP VK Bhawra and Himachal Pradesh DGP Sanjay Kundu will be soon part of union government. While Kandu is an IPS of 1989 batch of Himachal cadre, Mr. Bhawra is an IPS of 1987 of Punjab cadre.
Let it be noted that Bhawra went on leave after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led government sought an explanation from him for mishandling certain crime incidents, including the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala.
