Two Indian Railways Accounts Service (IRAS) officer have made the country proud at the IRONMAN Triathlon held in Astana in Kazakhstan. They are 2012 batch IRAS officer Rahul Patil, who is Sr. DFM/ Pune and 2011 batch IRAS officer Shreyas Hosur, who is Senior DFM, Bangalore. The event took place on 2 July, 2023.
While Rahul Patil participated and completed the IRONMAN 70.3 event consisting of 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run in 6 hours and 59 mins, Shreyas Hosur completed the IRONMAN 140.6 event consisting of 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike and 42.2 km run in 15 hours and 35 mins.
