Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Durga Shankar Mishra has been given another extension for three months. The Central Government’s Department of Personnel and Training has issued its order in this regard on Saturday and sent it to the state government. An IAS officer of 1984 batch Mr. Mishra term as CS has been extended for the third time. According to the order, now his tenure will be till 30 June 2024.
A graduated in electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur, Mr. Mishra was Housing and Urban Affairs Secretary and Chairman of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation before becoming Chief Secretary. He also has an MBA degree in international business from the University of Western Sydney.
He has also served as MD, Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation (SDCFC), district magistrate and collector of Agra and Sonbhadra districts, Vice Chairman of Kanpur Development Authority and as the municipal commissioner of Kanpur in the Uttar Pradesh government.
