UP Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal Reviews Priority Schemes, Directs Fast-Track Implementation for Trillion-Dollar Economy

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal conducted a video conference with Divisional Commissioners and Chief Development Officers (CDOs) to review priority schemes and programs. He emphasized accelerating development work to achieve the state’s goal of becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy. The review focused on rural economy initiatives, SRLM, Lakhpati Didi program, pending housing projects, and preparations for UP Day celebrations.

Focus on Fast-Tracking Development Work

During the review, Chief Secretary Goyal directed departments to regularly monitor and review all schemes, ensure fast-track execution of developmental activities, and make certain that every initiative contributes to the state’s economic growth target. He stressed that achieving UP’s trillion-dollar economy vision requires speed, efficiency, and accountability in project execution.

Emphasis on Rural Economy and Livelihood Programs

Chief Secretary Goyal highlighted the importance of small rural schemes and instructed officials to focus on:

  • Ensuring maximum beneficiaries are enrolled in rural development programs
  • Strengthening the State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM) by making monthly coordination meetings mandatory
  • Ensuring timely updates and data quality for the Lakhpati Didi program to accurately reflect women’s income

He emphasized that effective implementation of these initiatives can enhance rural livelihoods and economic participation.

Completing Pending Housing Projects

S.P. Goyal also directed officials to expedite incomplete housing schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and 1.05 lakh pending houses under the Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme.

Additionally, officials were asked to focus on Amrit Sarovar, ODF Plus initiatives, Gaushalas, Family ID schemes, and aspirational districts, ensuring all projects are completed efficiently.

UP Day Celebrations: Logistics and Arrangements

Regarding the state-level UP Day main event, Chief Secretary Goyal instructed careful planning to ensure smooth operations. Bullet points for clarity:
