UP CM Yogi Adityanath Launches OTS-2026 Scheme to Resolve Pending Housing and Commercial Allotments

One-Time Settlement Plan Offers Discounts, Installment Options, and Online Process to Provide Relief to Thousands of Allottees Across Uttar Pradesh
Indian Masterminds Stories

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the Housing and Urban Planning Department to implement a new One-Time Settlement (OTS-2026) Scheme aimed at the speedy resolution of pending residential and commercial allotments. The announcement was made during a departmental meeting on Wednesday.

Objective: Fast and Fair Resolution

The Chief Minister highlighted that long-pending dues and disputed cases not only delay housing projects but also create unnecessary hardships for citizens. He emphasized that the government intends to establish a system that is fast, transparent, and practical for all stakeholders.

CM Yogi said, “Pending payments or disputed allotments in any state scheme slow down development. The Housing Department must implement a solution-oriented mechanism that ensures revenue for the government while providing relief to the allottees.”

Features of the OTS-2026 Scheme

The new OTS-2026 plan is designed to be citizen-centric, offering clear and simple options for all genuine allottees. Key features include:

  • One-time settlement with discounts for allottees making lump-sum payments.
  • Installment payment options to make it easier for beneficiaries to clear dues.
  • User-friendly and fully online process to ensure transparency and convenience.
  • Strict timelines for processing applications to ensure speedy resolution.

The Chief Minister noted that a previous scheme, OTS-2020, successfully resolved many pending cases, but the COVID-19 pandemic had prevented several allottees from completing final payments. The OTS-2026 aims to address such unfinished cases and provide comprehensive relief.

Promoting the Scheme

CM Yogi directed the department to actively promote the OTS-2026 scheme so that all eligible beneficiaries are informed. He stressed that public awareness is crucial for maximizing participation and delivering benefits to citizens.

The implementation of this scheme is expected to provide relief to thousands of allottees while simultaneously ensuring that the government receives due revenue.

About the Housing and Urban Planning Department

The Uttar Pradesh Housing and Urban Planning Department is responsible for managing residential and commercial allotments across the state, developing urban infrastructure, and implementing citizen-focused housing policies. The OTS-2026 scheme aligns with the department’s goal of ensuring efficient, transparent, and timely resolution of housing cases.
