The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh carried out a significant administrative reshuffle late Thursday night, transferring 31 IAS officers, including three Divisional Commissioners and 14 District Magistrates.
Notable changes include the promotion of Lucknow District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar and Kanpur Nagar District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh to the level of Secretary. Both have now been appointed as Secretaries to the Chief Minister. Barabanki District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar has been named Special Secretary, while Aligarh District Magistrate Visakh G. has been reassigned as the District Magistrate of Lucknow.
Key appointments were also made for Divisional Commissioner roles. Rishikesh Bhaskar Yashod, previously the Divisional Commissioner of Saharanpur, has been appointed Divisional Commissioner of Meerut. Mathura District Magistrate Shailendra Kumar Singh has been promoted to Divisional Commissioner of Agra, and Mrs. Sangeeta Singh, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Scheme, is now the Divisional Commissioner of Aligarh.
Additionally, new District Magistrates have been appointed for Mathura, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Pratapgarh, Bijnor, Kanpur Nagar, Baghpat, Banda, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Farrukhabad, Barabanki, and Sultanpur. Several District Magistrates, including those from Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Pratapgarh, Baghpat, Meerut, and Farrukhabad, have been reassigned to lead other districts.
