In a major reshuffle and significant move to enhance law enforcement and improve governance, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 15 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including 9 District SPs and officers in specialized units. The reshuffle aims to strengthen policing, streamline administrative functions, and improve security measures throughout the state.
Key Transfers and Appointments:
2011 batch IPS officer Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma has been appointed as the in-charge Additional Police Commissioner for the Prayagraj Commissionerate. This crucial position will focus on bolstering security and improving the policing framework in one of the most important regions of Uttar Pradesh.
2015 batch IPS officer Dr. Kaustubh has been transferred as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jaunpur, while Keshav Kumar takes over as the SP of Ambedkar Nagar.
Aparna Rajat Kaushik, also an IPS officer of 2015 batch, will now serve as the SP of Amethi, while Ankita Sharma has been appointed as the SP of Kasganj.
2014 batch IPS officer Anup Kumar Singh has been appointed the Commandant of the 35th Battalion, Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) in Lucknow. His role will be crucial in strengthening the PAC’s security capabilities.
Vikrant Veer, also an IPS officer of 2014 batch, will take over as the SP of Deoria, while Dr. Omveer Singh has been posted as the SP of Ballia to improve law and order in the region.
Ramnayan Singh has been appointed SP of Bahraich, and Chiranjeev Nath Singh will now lead as SP of Hathras.
Prachi Singh has been appointed the Commandant of the 32nd Battalion, PAC in Lucknow, where she will oversee key security operations.
Dr. Abhishek Mahajan will take over as the SP of Siddharthnagar, while Sankalp Sharma has been appointed the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in the Lucknow Commissionerate.
Vrinda Shukla has been appointed SP for the UP 1090 Women’s Helpline, a vital service aimed at assisting women in distress.
Nipun Agarwal has been transferred as the DCP in the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, strengthening the law enforcement leadership in the state capital.
