Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has carried out another round of administrative reshuffle, transferring four IAS officers across key state departments. This comes just days after a previous transfer exercise involving several IAS and IPS officers.
New Appointments and Transfers
Rajesh Kumar II – 2009 batch IAS officer, promoted from State Civil Services, has been appointed Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh State Human Rights Commission. He previously served as Director General of Tourism, Uttar Pradesh.
Ved Pati Mishra – 2008 batch IAS officer, also promoted from State Civil Services, has been assigned as Director General of Tourism, Uttar Pradesh. He was earlier serving as Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh State Information Commission.
Kumar Prashant – 2010 batch IAS officer, has been posted as Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh State Information Commission.
Pranjal Yadav – 2006 batch IAS officer, has been relieved from his charge as Secretary of Handloom and Textile Industry, Khadi and Village Industries, and Establishment and Industrial Development Department of the UP Government.
Administrative Impact
The reshuffle reflects the ongoing strategy of the UP government to optimize the placement of senior IAS officers in departments critical to governance, tourism, human rights, and industrial development.
Officials note that such transfers are part of routine administrative practices aimed at ensuring efficient functioning of departments while aligning officers’ expertise with the government’s policy priorities.
