UPSC Announces Date for Civil Services Prelims Exam 2024; Admit Card Now Available for Download

Candidates are advised to promptly download their admit cards to avoid any last-minute hassles

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared that the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination for the year 2024 will be held on June 16. Aspirants can now access the UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card 2024 on the official websites, upsc.gov.in, and upsconline.nic.in.

Candidates are advised to promptly download their admit cards to avoid any last-minute hassles. The examination, slated for June 16, will be conducted nationwide across various examination centers.

The UPSC Civil Services Prelims Admit Card 2024 is now accessible on the UPSC’s official website, upsc.gov.in, and also on upsconline.nic.in. The examination comprises two papers of Objective type, totaling 400 marks, covering subjects outlined in sub-section (A) of Section II.

Through this examination, the UPSC aims to fill 1056 vacancies in central government services, including prestigious positions like the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Notably, 40 vacancies are reserved for candidates under the Persons with Benchmark Disability category.

Candidates are reminded that negative marking applies to wrong answers in the Objective Type Question Papers. It’s imperative to stay updated with the latest information regarding the examination process.

To download the admit card, candidates can follow these simple steps:

  • Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
  • Click on the “UPSC Admit Card 2024” link.
  • Enter the required login details and submit.
  • The admit card will be displayed; verify the details.
  • Download and take a printout of the admit card for future reference.

The Civil Services Examination comprises three stages: prelims, mains, and the personality test. Successful candidates from the prelims will proceed to register for the UPSC IAS Main examination.
