In a significant development for aspirants of the Civil Services Main Examination 2025, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened the window for candidates shortlisted for the Personality Test (Interview). This special window, activated on November 13, 2025, will remain open until November 27, 2025 (6:00 PM), allowing applicants to fill in or update essential personal, academic and service-related information.
An official UPSC notification stated that all candidates declared qualified for the Personality Test must complete this mandatory update process within the stipulated timeline to ensure smooth issuance of their e-Summon Letters.
Background: Mains Result Declared, Interview Stage Begins
UPSC had earlier released the results of the Civil Services (Main) Exam 2025, held from August 22 to August 31. Candidates who cleared the examination can now check their qualification status on the Commission’s official website.
Those shortlisted for the Personality Test will now move forward in the selection process for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and various Central Group A and Group B Services.
What Candidates Must Update in the UPSC Portal
UPSC has directed all qualified candidates to update the following information along with supporting documents wherever applicable:
• Educational qualification status and proof of passing the required exam
• Correspondence and permanent postal addresses
• Details of higher educational qualifications
• Achievements in various fields
• Employment records or service experience
• Details of service allocation from previous Civil Services Examinations (if any)
• Marital status updates
• PwBD recommendation status from past exams
• Parental information
• Debarment details
• Past examination records and number of attempts
• OBC/EWS annexures (if applicable)
• Socio-economic questionnaire responses
Even candidates who uploaded documents earlier and have no new updates must log in, verify all details and submit the final confirmation to generate their e-Summon Letter.
Interview Dates to Be Announced Soon
UPSC will announce the schedule for Personality Tests shortly. All interviews will be conducted at the Commission’s office at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi–110069.
Once released, candidates can download their e-Summon Letters from the official portals. Candidates facing difficulties while downloading their letters may contact the Commission through letter or phone for assistance.
