Extension of Application Deadline

To accommodate applicants facing difficulties, the UPSC has extended the last date to apply for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 and the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination until February 18, 2025, at 6 PM. Initially, the deadline was February 11, 2025.

Changes in One-Time Registration (OTR) System

In response to candidate queries, UPSC has made certain fields editable in the One-Time Registration (OTR) system. However, some key details remain unchangeable, including:

  • Name (as per Class X certificate)
  • Date of birth
  • Father’s name and mother’s name
  • Registered mobile number
  • Registered email ID

Candidates who have changed their mobile number but still have access to their registered email ID can request a mobile number update. In such cases, an OTP will be sent to the email ID for verification.

Civil Services Examination 2025 Schedule

The UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted annually in three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination
  3. Interview

Through this exam, officers are selected for prestigious services like the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS).

The Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 is scheduled to be held on May 25, 2025.
