Indian Trade Service (ITS) officer Dhirendra Verma, who was recommended for central deputation, has been selected for appointment as Joint Secretary (Director level) in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Delhi for a period of five years.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday, the central government approved the appointment of Mr. Verma to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
