The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the answer keys for PCS-2023 prelims examination. The Commission has released the tentative answer keys for both the question papers of PCS preliminary examination.
The answer key has been released in four sets A, B, C, D. It is available on the Commission’s website https://uppsc.up.nic.in till May 23, 2023. UPPSC PCS-2023 exam was conducted on May 14, 2023.
Controller of Examinations Ajay Kumar Tiwari has advised the candidates to see the answer keys and if there seems to be any discrepancies, then they can make representation, along with the evidence available, to the Commission by registered post or in person by 5 pm on May 24.
Out of 5,65,659 candidates, 224067 (60.37%) appeared in the examination held on May 14.
It is worth mentioning that the commission has made a historic change in the PCS main examination by removing the optional subject of the main examination. Instead of this, there will be two question papers of Uttar Pradesh Special.
This year application for the prestigious exam has been less than earlier. Where about 10 lakh students used to apply for this exam every year, this year only 5.5 lakh students have applied. The number of vacancies have also dropped.
While 5.5 lakh candidates had applied for this examination, only about three lakh students appeared in the examination conducted in two shifts.

UPPSC conducted the PCS Exam 2023 on 14th of May, 2023. The exam for General Studies 1 (GS) is held from 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM while CSAT is held from 02:30 PM to 04:30 PM.
