The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to announce the Civil Services Preliminary Examination Result 2025 by June 14, following its consistent trend of releasing results within 15 to 20 days after the exam date. While the UPSC has not yet confirmed an official result date, a review of past five-year trends shows that results are typically declared within three weeks of the examination. If this timeline holds, aspirants can expect the result announcement in less than two weeks from now.

What Past Trends Indicate

In four out of the last five years, the Prelims results have been declared within a three-week window, which aligns with the current expectations for the 2025 results. Therefore, June 14 is widely anticipated as the most probable date for the announcement.

Next Steps After the Result

Candidates who clear the Preliminary stage will need to fill the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I), which is a prerequisite for appearing in the Civil Services Main Examination. The DAF-I portal is usually activated shortly after the result declaration.

How to Check UPSC Prelims Result 2025

To access the result, candidates should:

  1. Visit the official UPSC website: www.upsc.gov.in
  2. Navigate to the “Examination” or “Results” section on the homepage.
  3. Click on the link titled “UPSC Prelims Result 2025.”
  4. Download the PDF result file.
  5. Use Ctrl + F (or Command + F on Mac) to search for your roll number.
  6. Save or print the document for future reference.

With the result date fast approaching, candidates are advised to stay updated through the official website and ensure their documents are ready for the next phase of the examination process.
