Uttar Pradesh govt to promote 45 IAS officers in New Year

Of forty-five IAS officers, seven officers will be promoted as principal secretary, fourteen officers will be promoted as secretary, and twenty-four officers will get a selection scale pay grade.

The Uttar Pradesh government will promote 45 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers in 2021. Seven officers of the 1996-batch will be promoted as principal secretary. Fourteen officers of the 2005-batch will be promoted as secretary and twenty-four officers of the 2008-batch will get a selection scale pay grade.
On Thursday, Chief Secretary of UP, Rajendra Kumar Tiwari held a meeting and approved the officers’ name for promotion. Now, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, will finally give his nod. It is expected that the official notification will come in the New Year.
