Rajesh Kumar Singh, the state’s Principal Secretary of Home Guards, has been given additional charge of the Backward Classes Welfare Department and Divyangjan Empowerment Department, along with his existing role as Director of Divyangjan Empowerment.
- This change comes as Subhash Chandra Sharma, who previously held this position, is set to retire on February 28.

- The government is focusing on boosting exports, developing cold storage infrastructure, and promoting agri-based industries, and Yadav’s role is seen as pivotal to these objectives.
PCS Officer Transfers Across Districts

Administrative Reforms to Enhance Governance and Development

- Speed up implementation of developmental projects
- Ensure timely execution of social welfare schemes
- Improve administrative oversight and public service delivery
Officials note that these changes are part of a strategic effort to accelerate socio-economic development and improve governance across the state, with a focus on agriculture, food processing, social welfare, and rural infrastructure.
