Lucknow: In a significant administrative move, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has ordered a major reshuffle within the state police department, resulting in the transfer of four Indian Police Service (IPS) officers.
The orders, issued by the DGP Headquarters, involve key changes in the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, Etawah Battalion, and the CID unit in Lucknow.
Changes in Lucknow Police Commissionerate and Security Headquarters
As part of the reshuffle, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ashish Srivastava, an IPS officer of 2013 batch, who was serving in the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, has been transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP), Security Headquarters.
Replacing him, IPS officer Vikrant Dhir, who was previously attached to the DGP Headquarters, will now serve as the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Lucknow Commissionerate.
New Appointments in Etawah Battalion and CID
Further changes include the transfer of IPS officer Anil Kumar Singh, formerly Commander of the 28th Battalion, Etawah, who will now take charge as SP, Security Headquarters.
In a related move, IPS Anirudh Kumar, who held the position of SP, CID Lucknow, has been appointed as the new Commander of the 28th Battalion, Etawah.
These transfers are part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to improve administrative efficiency and bolster law enforcement in key regions across Uttar Pradesh.
