In a significant administrative move, the Uttar Pradesh government has once again carried out a large-scale reshuffle of IAS officers late Friday night. The latest round of transfers affects 13 districts, with several key positions being reallocated.
Notable among the changes, CP Singh, the District Magistrate (DM) of Bulandshahr, has been appointed as the new DM of Lucknow. He will succeed Surya Pal Gangwar, who previously held the position. The reshuffle also sees Ravindra Mander taking over as DM of Prayagraj, while Dinesh has been assigned the role of DM of Jaunpur.
In addition to these, Nidhi Gupta has been appointed DM of Amroha, Ghanshyam Meena will assume the role of DM in Hamirpur, and Arvind Bhangari is set to take charge as DM of Agra. Navneet Chahal will become the new DM of Azamgarh, Umesh Mishra will oversee Muzaffarnagar, and Ravindra Singh will take over as DM of Fatehpur. Bhanu Chandra Goswami, the former DM of Agra, will now serve as the Relief Commissioner.
The UP government has issued immediate instructions for all transferred officers to assume their new positions without delay. This reshuffle is part of a broader trend of administrative changes occurring in the state, which has also seen recent transfers and postings within the UP Police. On Tuesday, ten IPS officers received new assignments.
This wave of transfers and postings comes amid the backdrop of upcoming by-elections for ten seats in Uttar Pradesh, signaling a period of heightened administrative activity in the state.
