Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial and administrative sanctions worth over ₹102 crore for multiple development projects across the state. The approvals cover key infrastructure upgrades, disaster mitigation works, healthcare facilities, and preparations for Kumbh Mela 2027.
The decisions aim to strengthen public infrastructure, enhance disaster resilience, and improve civic amenities in various districts.
Major Allocation for Kumbh Mela 2027
In preparation for Kumbh Mela 2027, the Chief Minister has granted ₹50.27 crore for the construction of a Police Command and Control Centre building. The project is expected to significantly strengthen security management, surveillance systems, and crowd control during the mega religious event.
Additionally, ₹9 crore has been sanctioned for the improvement and beautification of lanes from Har Ki Pauri to Laltaro Bridge in Haridwar, enhancing infrastructure for pilgrims and tourists.
Approval has also been given for setting up a Smart City PIU in Laksar, further boosting urban management capabilities in the region.
Boost to Healthcare Infrastructure
To strengthen healthcare services in Udham Singh Nagar district, the government has approved ₹4 crore for the construction of residential buildings for medical officers at the Sub-District Hospital in Bazpur. This move is expected to improve staff availability and healthcare delivery in the area.
Disaster Mitigation & Flood Protection Works
Under the State Disaster Mitigation Fund, multiple projects have been approved to safeguard infrastructure and residential areas:
- ₹2.67 crore (first installment) for construction of an RCC bridge and protective works on the damaged approach road on the Narsan–Harjauli–Jat Mudlana–Landhaura–Jaurasi–Buddhahedi–Bajedi–Rajputana route in Khanpur Assembly constituency.
- ₹25 crore for repair and reconstruction of assets damaged due to natural disasters.
- ₹2.30 crore for flood protection wall construction to safeguard Gram Chanigoth in Purnagiri (Champawat) from Huddi River flooding.
- ₹2.74 crore for flood protection and anti-erosion work along the Ramganga River in Gairsain block of Chamoli.
- ₹4.10 crore for protective works along the Bhagirathi River in Harsil village, Bhatwari block.
- ₹1.72 crore for flood protection scheme along both banks of the Suswa River near Dudha Devi Bridge (downstream) in Dharampur Assembly constituency.
These initiatives aim to reduce vulnerability to floods, prevent riverbank erosion, and protect residential and public infrastructure.
Urban Development & Environmental Measures
The Chief Minister has approved ₹13.90 lakh for disposal of legacy waste in Nagar Panchayat Imlikhera, promoting cleaner urban environments and sustainable waste management practices.
Educational Recognition
In a tribute to valor, approval has been granted to rename Government Higher Secondary School, Dobariyasaar (Rikhnikhal) after Shaheed Anuj Negi, honoring his sacrifice and contribution.

The latest financial approvals underline the Uttarakhand government’s focus on religious tourism infrastructure, disaster preparedness, healthcare enhancement, environmental protection, and urban development.
