Uttarakhand CM Dhami Approves ₹51 Crore Development Projects for AYUSH, Urban Development, and Public Welfare

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved development projects worth ₹51 crore in Uttarakhand, aimed at strengthening infrastructure, urban development, public welfare schemes, and effective implementation of government initiatives. The projects include works in AYUSH, urban development, public lighting, waste management, and the implementation of the Chief Minister’s announcements, along with camps under the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign to directly benefit the public.

Key Approvals for AYUSH and Heritage Facilities

Significant allocations have been made to enhance Ayurvedic and Unani healthcare services in the state:

  • ₹25.74 crore for the construction of industrial sheds and storage facilities at Rishikul State Ayurvedic Pharmacy, Haridwar
  • ₹7.44 crore for the expansion of the Directorate Building for Ayurvedic and Unani Services

Additionally, ₹11.41 crore has been approved for the expansion, renovation, and maintenance of the State Guest House (Circuit House) in Champawat, enhancing facilities for visitors and administrative purposes.

Urban Development and Infrastructure Improvements

To improve basic facilities in urban areas, the following allocations have been made:

  • ₹99.17 lakh for installation of LED and street lighting in the Nagar Palika Parishad of the Nagla area
  • ₹15.95 lakh for the purchase of vehicles for waste collection across 14 municipal bodies in the state

These measures aim to enhance urban infrastructure, promote cleanliness, and improve public amenities in municipal areas.

‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ Campaign

Under the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ initiative, the state government organizes camps in all district courts, gram panchayats, and local administrative units to ensure direct delivery of government schemes and solutions to citizens’ problems. ₹3.16 crore has been approved for the effective organization of these camps across the state.

Implementation of Key Chief Minister Announcements

Several important projects under the CM’s announcements have also received approval:

  • ₹50 lakh for development of trekking routes and fairground in Suwalekh to Chandika Ghat, Pithoragarh Assembly
  • ₹67.45 lakh for construction of trekking routes from Jamaradi to Rantoda Badkhet, Vin region
  • ₹50.68 lakh for installation of CCTV cameras in main markets of Salt Assembly, Almora
  • ₹39 lakh for proposed construction works and solar chain-linked fencing in Sarakot, Karnaprayag Assembly

These projects are aimed at tourism development, public safety, and modern infrastructure enhancements across the state.

Directions for Timely Implementation

CM Dhami has instructed all concerned departments to ensure prompt and efficient execution of the approved projects. The focus is on strengthening infrastructure, enhancing public services, and delivering government schemes effectively to citizens.
