Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Inaugurates and Lays Foundation for ₹112.34 Crore Development Projects in Nainital

Seventeen Projects Cover Roads, Education, Healthcare, and Community Infrastructure, Boosting Development in Dhari Block and Surrounding Areas

Nainital: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Himgiri Stadium, Letibunga, Dhari Block on Friday to inaugurate and lay the foundation for 17 development projects worth ₹112.34 crore in Nainital district. The projects span infrastructure, education, healthcare, and community development initiatives.

Projects Inaugurated Worth ₹70.73 Crore

CM Dhami inaugurated eight projects with a total investment of ₹70.73 crore, including:

  • Road and Bypass Development:
    • ₹4.53 crore for blacktopping of Senitorium-Almora Road to Bhawali Bypass Part-1
    • ₹11.62 crore for Bhawali Bypass Part-2 improvement from Bhawali-Senitorium to Nainiband
    • ₹7.95 crore for Bhimtal Bypass Motor Route improvement
    • ₹16.62 crore for Bhimtal-Khutani-Chanfi-ParmPuri-Dhanachuli Pancheshwar Motor Route improvement
  • Healthcare and Education:
    • ₹19.48 crore for the construction of a 50-bed Critical Care Unit
    • ₹8.43 crore for library and multipurpose hall at Lal Bahadur Shastri College, Halduchaud
    • ₹1.46 crore for a cow shelter in Gram Puchhdi for stray cattle
    • ₹61.38 lakh for library, computer lab, and science lab at Ra.U.Ma.Vi Jadapani, Bhimtal

Foundation Laying for Projects Worth ₹41.60 Crore

CM Dhami also laid the foundation for nine projects with a combined cost of ₹41.60 crore, including:

  • Educational Infrastructure:
    • ₹5.35 crore for examination building at Government College, Lalkua
    • ₹97.72 lakh for boundary wall at Lal Bahadur Shastri College
  • Sports and Community Facilities:
    • ₹1.5 crore for tensile shed and pool covering at Indira Gandhi International Stadium, Gaulapar
    • ₹75 lakh for auditorium room at Okhlakanda
  • Other Development Works:
    • ₹46.54 lakh for building construction at Ra.U.Ma.Vi Jhadgaon
    • ₹45 lakh for Type-4 residential building at Ramnagar
    • ₹9.81 crore for motor route construction from Betalghat-Dunikhal to Ratighat
    • ₹8.19 crore for new construction of Pangot-Daichori road
    • Flood protection works at Indira Gandhi International Stadium, Gaulapar to enhance safety

Focus on Holistic Development

Through these projects, the Uttarakhand government aims to improve road connectivity, educational infrastructure, healthcare facilities, and community safety in Nainital district. CM Dhami emphasized that these initiatives are part of a broader effort to boost local development, enhance public amenities, and support economic growth in the region.
