On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, National Unity Day program was held at Statue of Unity in Kevadiya, Gujarat on Sunday, in which Union Home Minister Amit Shah also took the salute of the parade. The parade was led by Gujarat cadre IPS officer Vijay Singh Gurjar. Police officer Vijay Singh Gurjar is a resident of village Devipura in Nawalgarh subdivision of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan.
IPS Vijay Singh Gurjar, performing the role of Parade Commander, led the contingent of CRPF, ITBP, BSF, CISF and Gujarat Police. Before becoming an IPS officer, he had got government job five times.
Vijay Singh Gurjar, a resident of Devipura village, had his early education in a government school in his own village. He was graduated from Sanskrit College in neighboring Chirana village. He became IPS officer after getting 574th rank in UPSC 2018.
Presently Vijay Singh Gurjar is working as Trainee ASP in Ahmedabad. Vijay Singh Gurjar told that this was the third National Unity Day program. Every time young IPS gets an opportunity to lead the parade here. This time he got this distinction.
