On March 11th, the deputy chairperson of the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA), Mr. Durgesh Kumar Dubey, welcomed as many as sixteen promotee Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers in the VPA premises as a part of the illustrious “Bharat Darshan” program.
During their visit to the VPA, Mr. Dubey familiarised the conferred IAS officers with the port’s infrastructure facilities, investment, methods of cargo handling operations, export/import profile, modernisation/mechanisation, green initiatives like covered storage facilities, solar power, sewage treatment plant for internal & industrial purpose and smart port initiatives, among many other things.
