Raipur: Marking a significant push toward grassroots empowerment and self-reliance, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai distributed beneficiary-oriented materials under various public welfare schemes during his visit to Korea district on the occasion of the Korea Festival inauguration.
The distribution drive included LPG connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, pink e-rickshaws for women entrepreneurs, and garbage rickshaws to strengthen sanitation efforts.
105 Ujjwala Gas Connections Distributed
At the event, the Chief Minister provided gas connections to 105 eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Addressing the gathering, CM Sai said that the scheme ensures smoke-free access to safe, clean, and healthy cooking fuel for poor households. He emphasized that the initiative brings transformative change to women’s lives by freeing them from the health hazards associated with traditional cooking methods.
He noted that access to clean energy is not just about convenience but about dignity, health, and empowerment for women across rural and underserved communities.

Pink E-Rickshaws to Boost Women’s Self-Employment
In a move aimed at strengthening women’s economic independence, six “Aajeevika Didis” were provided with pink e-rickshaws under the Rural Livelihood Express initiative.
The Chief Minister described the distribution as a key step toward promoting self-employment and women’s empowerment. He stated that the initiative would:
- Increase women’s income opportunities
- Promote entrepreneurship at the grassroots level
- Strengthen rural transport connectivity
- Provide momentum to the rural economy
He added that empowering women economically is central to building self-reliant communities.
Garbage Rickshaws to Strengthen Sanitation System
To reinforce sanitation infrastructure in the district, 14 “Swachhata Didis” were provided with garbage rickshaws.
CM Sai stated that cleanliness is not merely an administrative responsibility but a campaign rooted in public participation. He praised the active role played by women in sanitation initiatives and described their contribution as commendable.
The distribution is expected to enhance door-to-door waste collection and improve overall cleanliness in the district.
Focus on Inclusive Development
Highlighting the broader vision of the state government, the Chief Minister said that the administration’s primary goal is to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last person in society.
He reiterated that inclusive growth remains at the core of governance, with continuous efforts being made to bring every section of society into the mainstream of development.
“The government is working with commitment toward public welfare and self-reliance,” he said, adding that such beneficiary-oriented initiatives are transforming lives at the grassroots level.
