Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday emphasised that India’s battle against terrorism is not only physical but also spiritual and moral, rooted in its ancient wisdom and philosophical traditions. Speaking at the state-level inauguration of Meditation (Yoga) for Global Unity and Trust organised by the Brahma Kumaris in Lucknow, the Chief Minister said that the mind is both the cause of bondage and liberation, echoing the teachings of Sant Ravidas.

‘Uncontrolled mental tendencies give rise to global unrest’

CM Yogi said disturbances, terrorism, and unrest across the world originate from uncontrolled mental tendencies and unstable impulses. He added that India’s spiritual knowledge has long interpreted destructive mental states as a form of terrorism, and the nation continues to fight such forces with determination.
He noted, “When the mind turns inward, peace follows—benefiting not just an individual but the entire world.”

India gave Yoga global recognition under PM Modi

Highlighting India’s global contribution, the Chief Minister said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, yoga received worldwide recognition through the United Nations’ adoption of International Yoga Day on June 21.
He praised the promotion of yoga as a global practice rooted in India’s ancient spiritual heritage, calling it a “prasad gifted by our sages.”

President Murmu’s life journey is an inspiration

Extending a warm welcome to President Droupadi Murmu, CM Yogi called her life journey deeply inspiring for every Indian.
He said, “From a teacher to a municipal councillor and eventually the President of India, her journey is a testament to resilience and dedication.”

Appreciation for Brahma Kumaris and Rajyoga initiatives

The Chief Minister lauded the Brahma Kumaris organisation for spreading positivity through their programmes and Rajyoga training.
He shared updates on the nearly completed Rajyoga training centre in Lucknow, which will soon offer one-day, three-day, and week-long courses to help people adopt positive and spiritual lifestyles.
He expressed confidence that the Brahma Kumaris would successfully take the message of unity, trust, and inner transformation across Uttar Pradesh, India, and the world.

Dignitaries present

The event was attended by Governor Anandiben Patel, Rajyogi Dr. Brahma Kumar Mrityunjay, Lucknow Subzone Director Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Radha, Rajyogi Dr. Brahma Kumar Nathamall from Cuttack, and several trainers, practitioners, and officials associated with the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya.
